Stay away from Dove Soaps when spray tanning! They are essentially a moisture bar. They will leave a film and soapy residue on the skin.
Which results in:

Dove acts as a barrier and prevents the spray tan from sticking correctly.
INSTEAD of Dove, opt for a clear or natural shower gel for before and after your spray tan.
Avoid:
Artificial coloring

Look into products by Shea Moisture, Dr. Bonners, Aveeno, Cetaphil, etc.
