Of course we want to bring in all the clients we can, but sometimes we may have to turn a client down.
- Pregnancy - always have your client advise with their doctor prior to getting a spray tan. If they have any questions, you can send them the msds sheet with ingredients. You may not be aware if a client is high risk or having complication or even sensitivities. Best to advise with doctor first. Nose plugs are a must with pregnant clients.
- New Tattoo - allow at least 2 weeks before spraying over a tattoo unless it's fully healed. The area may need to be covered. It is essential an open wound.
- Piercings - tell your client to consult with a professional (licensed) piercer to know healing time. Length of healing depends on piercing.
- Skin Allergies - check if your client is allergic to nuts as that may be in some solutions. Clients can also be allergic to DHA which is the ingredient that allows you to develop color in a spray tan.
- Surgery/ Open Wounds - Wait until are fully healed post op before spraying them. We cannot spray tan open wounds or incisions.
- Sunburn - NEVER EVER spray a client with sunburn. The skin is trying to heal itself from the burn and needs to shed. Spraying over may cause irritation and make for one bad spray bad.
